What Worship Servants Do

Worship Servants are one of the most critical ministries at Our Place! Their responsibilities include greeting, ushering, parking, security, coffee service, communion preparation, taking offering, tracking attendance, environment design, and more! We're the friendly faces greeting you at the door, handing you a bulletin, showing you a seat. And we work behind the scenes as well, handling many of the details that make Our Place feel warm and inviting and keep the services running smoothly.

Who Worship Servants Are

YOU! Worship Servants are anyone with a desire to serve in the church. There are many different opportunities and ways to serve within the Worship Servant Ministry, as well as opportunities for discipleship and leadership training. Are you looking for a meaningful way to serve at Our Place? Do you want to grow as a servant and worshiper? If so, then the Worship Servant Ministry is for you! Maybe you've even been feeling God calling you to ministry leadership? We also provide an apprenticeship program if you want to be a team leader. How cool!

When Worship Servants Serve

Worship Servants serve together as a team during the weekend gatherings at Our Place. Teams are divided into Sunday Teams and Friday Teams, and we ask for a six month commitment to serve one time each month. Additionally, each Team will also find time to meet together for Bible study and prayer time during each month.

Team Leader Apprentices

If you would like to get involved in leadership at Our Place, this is an awesome first step. We ask for a six month commitment where Apprentices serve monthly as part of a Team, meet monthly for small group time, and train with a Team Leader.

Why Worship Servants Exist

We exist to serve God by serving His people. Whether it's a smile and a handshake for a newcomer, hot coffee for the person who worked all night, communion elements to remind us of Christ and His sacrifice, a quick direction for someone who isn't sure where to park, taking offering so that people can worship and support the ministry of the church, passing attendance pads so our staff and overseers can shepherd and lead effectively, walking the hallways to make sure our kids are safe and our people feel secure, or even as simple as keeping the doors quiet so people are not distracted during worship. God uses all of these things to make Our Place a church home for hundreds of people!

How Do I Volunteer?

There is a flap in the bulletin each week where you'll find a section called Ministry Information. Just check the box marked "Worship Services" in the left column of that section and fill out the personal information area just below that. Then drop it in any offering box in the foyer or auditorium and a Team leader will contact you.
